A Simple Way to Understand the Color Wheel

The primary colors are 2, 6, & 10
Let us mix these primary colors and see what we will
get:
We mix 2 & 6 to get 4.
We mix 6 & 10 to get 8.

.We mix 2 & 10 to get 12

Now let us continuue to get the other six colors

We mix 12 & 2 to get 1.
We mix 2 & 4 to get 3.
We mix 4 & 6 to get 5.
We mix 6 & 8 to get 7.
We mix 8 & 10 to get 9.
We mix 10 & 12 to get 11.

Notice how 12 matches 6 (red and green). They are

opposite to each other. In the same manner, orange(8)

matches blue(2). Moreover, yellow(10) matches violet(4). Every color matches its complementary color which is exactly on the opposite side. They make up what is lacking in each other. Keep an eye on

these matching colors. They are highly used in fine art,

graphics art, interior design, fashion design, and many

more.
